How to Apply
To apply to a graduate program in the school, you may either complete the application online and submit it to us electronically, or print the application materials from the program links below, and submit them by mail.
This is your opportunity to show the committee that reviews your application for graduate admissions your organizational skills and how well you follow directions. Possessing these attributes is crucial for the students in the school. Read the instructions carefully before you begin preparing the application; follow the instructions throughout the application process.
We strongly suggest that you maintain your own records by copying completed applications and ordering duplicate copies of transcripts.
Self-Managed Applications
The school uses a self-managed application for admission to its graduate programs. It is the responsibility of the applicant to prepare or collect all credentials other than official test scores and submit them at one time to the Office of Academic Assistance.
A self-managed application requires appropriate planning on your part to allow time for you to prepare the application properly and collect all of your transcripts and recommendations. This process, however, also gives you control over when your application (except test scores) is complete. It eliminates the need for concern over lost or misdirected transcripts or recommendations.
Do not submit an incomplete application packet. Incomplete application packets will not be considered for admission.
You may check the status of your application online by choosing "Admissions Status" at student.gosolar.gsu.edu. Please allow at least three weeks after submitting your application to check the status if you are applying for a current term. Additional processing time will be needed for all deadlines for future terms. The online checklist for future terms may not be available if an application is submitted very early. If you are unable to access your application status, please contact the Office of Academic Assistance 404-413-1000.
