Biography

Clinical Expertise

  1. Breast cancer
  2. Obesity
  3. Diabetes
  4. Alcohol consumption

Research Interests
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among American women.  Breast cancer risk is increased by both obesity and alcohol consumption.  However, the mechanism of how these factors affect breast cancer development is not fully known.  My laboratory at Georgia State University focuses on investigating how these risk factors influence breast cancer development with the ultimate goal of finding targets to prevent the effects of alcohol and obesity on breast cancer.
